DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • You will need to take to the DPS the following documentation:

    1. Proof of Residency
    2. Valid Learner’s License (Instruction Permit)
    3. Verification of Enrollment and Attendance Form
    4. DE 964 from school which provided the driver education course
    5. 30 Hours Behind-the-Wheel Practice Log
    6. The vehicle used for the Road Test must:
      • Pass an inspection
      • A valid inspection sticker
      • A valid registration sticker, and
      • Current insurance

     

    Note:
    16 years of age or older

    • Possess a valid DE-964 or DE-964E showing you have completed a Minors Driver Education Course
    • Have held a valid learner license for a minimum of six months
    • Complete the ITTD requirements by viewing the Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) video
    • The certificate of completion must be dated within 90 days prior to taking the drive test
    • After completing of your Road Test A2Z Driving School Dallas will issue you a Seal Envelop with Documetation to collect you Driver License from DPS

Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD)

Prior to road testing with us or the DPS, The State of Texas requires by law that all ages must watch the ITTD video.
The certificate of completion must be presented within 90 days to the before the road test can be given.

This is a free, two-hour program for teen drivers 15-17 years of age that have completed a Teen Driver Education Course or Parent Taught Driver Education course. Or for drivers 18-24 who completed a Teen Driver Education Course.

If you are 18 and under or have completed a Teen, online, or a parent taught driver ed program (even if you are 18 or older) you must watch the Teen Impact Video.
